Unit-I: Pedagogical Analysis
l Concepts and Methods of Pedagogical Analysis;
l The Pedagogical knowledge of the content from various classes (Class VI to VIII, IX-X,XI- XII) on the following items:
v Breaking of Unit into Sub-unit with no. of Periods;
v Previous knowledge;
v Instructional Objectives in behavioural terms;
v Sub-unit wise concepts;
v Teaching-Learning Strategies;
v Use of teaching aids v Blueprint for criterion reference test Items.
Unit-II: Science Teacher
l Qualifications and qualities of Science Teachers
l Professional growth of Science Teacher
Unit-III: Teaching Skills
l Micro-teaching.
l Simulated Teaching.
l Teaching in classroom situation.
l Laboratory practical based demonstration skill.
Unit-IV: Assessment of Science Learning
l Concept of assessment and evaluation.
l Concepts of Achievement Test and Identification of Test Items under various criterion like knowledge, understanding and application
and skill.
l Construction of achievement tests and their administration.
l Preparation of a continuous and comprehensive evaluation plan for a particular class (VI to XII).
Unit-V: Practicum and Activities in Science
l Importance of science activities.
l Planning and Organization of field trip, project work, science quiz, excursion, science exhibition, science fair, aquarium, bird watching etc.
l Formation and activities of Science club in school.
Engagement with Field / Practicum
Any one of the following—
l One Pedagogical Analysis (Newly Added)
l Survey of science laboratory in a school.
l Evolving suitable technique(s) to evaluate laboratory work.
l Visit to Community Science Centre, Nature Park and Science City. l One Achievement Test Construction.
